Welcome to our website

What does VIP mean?
VIP means visually impaired people.
Andover VIPs is an active local charity run by visually impaired members assisted by a dedicated team of sighted volunteers.
Can you help us?
Can you imagine what would happen to you if you lost something that most people take for granted, your sight?
We provide support to over 400 people with sight loss in the Andover area, and without your help we could not do this.
£10 pays for one hour of much needed emotional support. £5 helps towards transport costs to meet isolated friends.
Please contact us if you are able to provide any financial support. We can also be found on the Local Giving website.
Our latest news – Generous donation
Thank you!
A massive thank you for our recent donations from the Henry Smith Charity, the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Community Foundation, Zurich, as well as the anonymous donars.
Simple words cannot express our gratitude.
We would also like to say a huge thank you to local company Simplyhealth, who have generously donated £600. The funds will be put
towards buying equipment for our audio magazine project.
We will now be able to buy a multiple CD copier and CDs to enable us to produce a monthly audio magazine for over 150 visually
impaired people in Andover and the surrounding villages.
The magazine provides information about local events, stories, poems, a quiz, recipes, gardening advice and interviews with local
people. The magazine is produced entirely in-house by volunteers and it is the only one of its kind in the South of England.
